The vision to begin a school of ministry for pastors in Kenya was developed at Capital Church in Meridian, Idaho, USA, under the leadership of Pastor Ken Wilde.

The idea was to meet a big need - academic and practical training of pastors especially in rural Kenya who either did not have facilities for training, could not afford to pay for academic training at the local theological colleges, lack of non-traditional educational enrichment programs for rural pastors, and/or all of the above.

The unique focus of the school is its combination of theology and practical ministry. KCOM is particularly suitable for senior or executive pastors who are most likely to exercise the lessons they learn during the class immediately.

Kenya College of Ministry would not be possible without the financial support from its students, Capital Church, Gatebreaker Ministries and donations.
